20,21) O you who have believed! Obey Allah and His Messenger. Do not turn away from him while you hear! Do not be among those who say "We have heard/listened to the Wahy [Revelation]" although they have not listened!
22) Indeed, the worst of all creatures that travel on the earth in the sight of Allah are those deaf and dumb who do not use their reason.
23) Had Allah known that there is any good in them, He would certainly have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would have stayed away as the ones who turned away.
24) O you who have believed! When the Messenger invites you to that which gives you life, respond to Allah and the Messenger. And know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart. And you will absolutely be gathered before Him.
25) And guard yourselves from the social fires that will not hit only those who treat their very selves unjustly among you and know that Allah is the One Whose punishment is severe.
26) And remember; when you were few in number and were oppressed on the earth and feared that people would seize you and Allah gave you shelter, strengthen you with His help and provided for you from that which was pure-pleasing so you might repay for the blessings you were given.
27,28) O you who have believed! Do not betray Allah and the Messenger. And do not intentionally betray your trusts either. And know that your wealth and children are tools of trial; entities that may avert from the religion and there surely is a great reward with Allah.
29) O you who have believed! Should you enter under the guardianship of Allah, He will give you an understanding that will allow you to distinguish the truth from falsehood and He will remove your evil deeds from you and forgive you. Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
45,46) O you who have believed! Strive, do not give up and remember Allah when you meet a people, so you may win victory/succeed. And obey Allah and His Messenger, do not dispute one another. Then you would be taken by fear and your strength would depart. And be patient, indeed, Allah is with those who have patience.
47) And do not be like those who act arrogantly and come forth from their homes insolently and avert from the path of Allah. And Allah is the One Who encompasses what they do.
39) And fight them until the activity of averting people from the religion is no more and the religion belongs only to Allah. And if they cease, let it be known that Allah is the One Who sees best what they do.
40) And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your familiar Who is helper, guide and protector. How an excellent familiar Who helps, guides, protects, how an excellent helper He is!
42) And when you were on the near edge of the valley and they were on the far edge. And the caravan was lower than you. Even if you had made an appointment with them, surely you would have had disagreement on the meeting location. But so Allah may fulfill the affair that must be fulfilled; so that those who have been manipulated/destroyed would be destroyed after having seen clear evidence and those who have lived may live after the clear evidence... Surely, Allah is the One Who hears best, knows best.
5,6) And they were arguing with you about the truth openly as if they were being driven towards death after the truth had been made clear - just as when your Rabb brought you out of your home in truth while indeed a party among the believers certainly did not like-.
7,8) And when Allah promised you that one of the two groups would surely be yours. But you wished that which did not have honor and grace/booty would be yours. And Allah intended to eliminate the infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb; to develop and spread the true religion in order to establish the truth by His words and to bring out the truth even though the criminals did not like and to abolish the falsehood.
9) When you asked the help of your Rabb and your Rabb responded: "Surely, I am helping you with thousands of harbinger Ayat one after other".
43) When at that time, Allah showed them to you as few in your sleep. Had Allah showed you them as many, you would surely have feared and differed about war. But Allah established safety. Surely He is the One Who knows best what is within hearts.
44) And when you met them to fulfill an affair which must have been fulfilled, He showed them a few in your eyes. And He showed you a few in their eyes. And all matters will only be returned to Allah.
10) And Allah did this only to give you the good tidings and so your hearts may be pacified. And help is only from Allah. Indeed, Allah is the One Who is the most exalted, the most powerful, the most honorable, the invincible/the subduer, the best law maker, the One Who precludes corruption best/makes incorruptible.
11) And when your Rabb overwhelmed you with drowsiness as a security from Him. He sent down upon you a water from the sky to purify you, remove from you the evil/harm of the malicious one, strengthen your hearts and set your feet firm; make you step firm.
12) And when your Rabb programmed the forces of the nature: "Surely, I am with you so give strength to those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of the infidels; those who consciously denied the divinity of Myself and the fact that I am Rabb, so hit them in their necks and fingertips/knuckles!".
13) This recompense of the infidels was because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, let him know that Allah is the One Whose punishment is very severe.
14) Now, taste this. Surely, in Akhirat [Afterlife], there will be the punishment of the fire for infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb as well.
57) If you find them in the act of corrupting, disperse them with all the men behind them so they may take lesson.
58) If you fear a people; that they should betray, declare them that you have broken the agreement in the same way. Surely, Allah does not like the traitors.
59) Let not the infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb think that they have outstripped. Indeed, they can not incapacitate.
15) O you who have believed! When you meet infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb as a group, do not turn your backs to them immediately.
16) And whoever turns his back to them on such a day, -except when you turn your back to pull back in order to battle back or take up a new position- Allah will not be pleased with him and Jahannah [Hell] will be his final destination. How an evil destination it is!
17) And you did not kill them but it was Allah who killed them. And you did not throw when you threw but it was Allah who threw. And so He might test the believers with a good trial. Indeed, Allah is the One Who hears best, knows best.
18) That it is! Surely, Allah is the One who weakens the trap of the infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Himself and the fact that He is Rabb.
19) If you seek the victory, the conquest has come to you. If you desist, it will be better for you. But if you return, We will return too. No matter how numerous is your people, it will never avail you at all. And indeed, Allah is with the believers.
60) And collect any kind of force as you can against them and prepare war horses[#349] so you may make ideal people those who are enemy to Allah, your enemies and lower ones than those whom Allah knows but you do not. And whatever you spend for the cause of Allah will be paid to you fully and you will not be treated unjustly.
61) If they incline to peace, then you incline to peace as well! And rely on Allah. Indeed, Allah is the One Who hears best, knows best.
62,63) If they intend to deceive you, know that Allah is sufficient for you. He is the One Who strengthens you with His help and with the believers and Who brings hearts of the believers together. If you had spent all that is on the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together. Yet Allah brought their hearts together. Surely, He is the One Who is the most exalted, the most powerful, the most honorable, the invincible/the subduer, the best law maker, the One Who precludes corruption best/makes incorruptible.
64) O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and those who follow you of the believers!
65) O Prophet! Urge the believers to battle. If there are among you twenty who are steadfast, they will defeat two hundred. And if there are hundred among you, then they will defeat a thousand from among those infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb because they are a people who do not understand.
66) Indeed, Allah has lightened from you and He knows that there is weakness among you. Therefore, if there are among you hundred who are steadfast, they will defeat two hundred. And if there are thousand among you, then by permission/knowledge of Allah, they will defeat two thousand. And Allah is with those who are steadfast.
67) It is not appropriate for a prophet to have captives until he prevails in the war absolutely and completely. You desire the convenience of this world but Allah desires Akhirat [Afterlife]. And Allah is the One Who is the most exalted, the most powerful, the most honorable, the invincible/the subduer, the best law maker, the One Who precludes corruption best/makes incorruptible.
68) If not for a decree from Allah, a great punishment would have touched you for that which you have taken.
70) O Prophet! Say to whoever is in your hands of the captives: "If Allah knows any good within your hearts, He will give you better than that which has been taken from you and will forgive your sins. And Allah is the One Who forgives much, shows great mercy".
71) If they intend to betray you, let them know that they have already betrayed to Allah before so Allah has given the believers more opportunities over them. And Allah is the One Who knows very well, the One Who is the best law maker, the One Who precludes corruption best/makes incorruptible.
41) And know that the things that We made you take as a booty among anything on the day when the truth and the falsehood was separated; on the day of Badr when the two armies met, if you believe in Allah and the Ayat that We sent down upon Our servant, a fifth of it belongs to Allah, the Messenger and the poor who were driven out from their lands, the orphans, the needy and the travelers. And Allah is the One Who is competent over everything.
69) Now, eat from the booties that you have taken as halal/permissible and pleasant and enter under the guardianship of Allah. Surely, Allah is very forgiving, very merciful.
1) They ask you about the bounties; premiums of war. Say: "The bounties; premiums of war are for Allah and His Messenger/public expenditures. Therefore, if you are believers, enter under the guardianship of Allah, amend what is between yourselves and obey Allah and His Messenger.
2,3,4) Surely, the believers are those whose hearts fear in awe when Allah is mentioned, who get stronger in faith when His Ayat are recited to them and who rely only upon their Rabb, who establish Salah [establish and maintain the institutions that support financially and spiritually; enlighten the community] and who spend from that which We have given them as provision for the cause of Allah. Indeed, these are the ones who truly believe. For them are degrees, forgiveness and a noble provision with their Rabb.
30) And once the infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb plotted against you so they might restrain you or kill you or expel and drive you out. And as they were plotting, Allah was punishing them. And Allah is the best of punishers.
31) And when Our Ayat were recited to them, they said: "We have listened, and if we willed, we could say something like this too. This is nothing but legends of ancient people".
32) And once, they said: "O our Allah! If this is the truth itself that has come from You, then rain upon us stones from the sky immediately or give us a very painful punishment".
33) But Allah would not punish them while you are among them. And Allah would not punish them as long as they ask forgiveness.
34) And what do they have so Allah may not punish them while they forbid from Masjid al-Haram/the untouchable theological education center even though they are not the trustees/foundation directors who maintain it? The trustees/foundation directors who maintain it are those who have entered under the guardianship of Allah. But most of them do not know.
35) And their support by the Bayt [House]/Kaaba is only to whistle and applause, a show. -Then taste this punishment for you have disbelieved; consciously denied the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb!-
36,37) Surely, the infidels; those who have concealed the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb; those who have spent their wealth to avert from the path of Allah, will spend it anyway. Then there will be a regret for them and they will be overcome so Allah may separate the impure from the pure and pile and gather the impure and place it upon them and then put them all into Jahannah [Hell]. And the infidels; those who have consciously denied the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb will be gathered to Jahannah [Hell]. They are the ones who will be among those that will lose, suffer.
38) Say to the infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb: "If they desist from what they do then, what they did previously will be forgiven. But if they return, the rules applied to the previous peoples with a leader will remain effective".
48,49) And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease; the ill-minded said, "Their religion has deluded them", that evil commander made their deeds alluring to them and said to them, "Today, there is no one to defeat you from among the people and I am your helper too". And when two groups were within the sight of each other, he turned on his heels and said: "Surely, I am away from you. Surely, I am seeing what you can not see, surely I fear Allah". And Allah is the One Whose judgement/recompense is severe. And whoever relies on Allah, let him know that Allah is the One Who is the most exalted, the most powerful, the most honorable, the invincible/the subduer, the best law maker, the One Who precludes corruption best/makes incorruptible.
50,51) If only you could see the forces in charge when they remind the infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb one by one what they did in the past and what they failed to do while being obliged to, hitting their faces and backs: "Now, taste the punishment of the blazing fire! This is because of that which you have put forth with your hands. And surely, Allah is not the One Who treats unjustly to the servants at all".
52) They disbelieved in the Ayat/evidences/signs of Allah just as the people close to Pharaoh and people before them and Allah seized them because of their sins. Indeed, Allah is very powerful, the One Whose recompense/judgement is severe.
53) This is indeed because that Allah would not change what He bestowed as a blessing upon a people until those people change that which is within themselves, that which they have and that surely Allah is the One Who hears best, knows best.
54) They denied the Ayat/evidences/signs of their Rabb just as the people close to Pharaoh and people before them. We manipulated/destroyed them because of their sins; We drowned the people close to Pharaoh in the water. All of them were the ones who treated their selves unjustly.
55,56) Surely, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the infidels; those who consciously denied the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb and do not believe; those who break their covenants every time even though you have made a covenant with them. They do not enter under the guardianship of Allah.
72) Surely, those who have believed, emigrated from their lands, fought with their lives and wealth for the cause of Allah and sheltered and helped; yes they are the ones some of who are familiars who help, guide, protect of others. And as for those who have believed and not emigrated, they will not have closeness until they emigrate. And if they demand help for the religion, you must help them except against a people between whom and you is a treaty. And Allah is the One Who sees very well what you do.
73) The infidels; those who consciously deny the divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb are familiars who help, guide, protect each other. And if you do not do so; if you do not become the familiars who help, guide, protect each other as believers, a great chaos and efforts to avert people from the religion will emerge on the earth.
74) And those who have believed, emigrated and striven with their all strength for the cause of Allah and sheltered and helped; they are the ones who are the true believers. There will be forgiveness and a noble provision for them.
75) And after this, those who have believed and emigrated from their lands and striven with their all strength with you; they are of you now. And those who are relatives, are closer to each other according to the book of Allah. Indeed, Allah is the One Who knows all best.
